Beth yw Cyngor Ysgol?
Mae cyngor yr ysgol yn grŵp o blant sy'n cynrychioli barn ein holl ddisgyblion. Bwriad y cyngor yw darparu llwyfan strwythuredig i ddisgyblion gymryd rhan weithredol ym mywyd a phrosesau gwneud penderfyniadau eu hysgol. Mae'n rhoi cyfle i'n plant gael eu lleisiau wedi'u clywed a bod yn rhan o gymuned yr ysgol gyfan. Mewn cyfarfodydd i drafod gwahanol ffyrdd o wella'r ysgol yn fewnol, yn allanol ac yn addysgol megis trefnu digwyddiadau elusennol, diwrnodau thema neu gynrychioli'r ysgol mewn digwyddiadau allanol. Mae Cyngor yr Ysgol yn rhoi cyfle i ddisgyblion ddatblygu sgiliau pwysig gan gynnwys cyfathrebu, gwrando, mynegi barn, datrys problemau, gwneud penderfyniadau a myfyrio.
Pwy yw Aelodau'r Cyngor?
Ar ddechrau pob blwyddyn ysgol gofynnir i'r disgyblion enwebu a phleidleisio dros bwy maen nhw eisiau i'w cynrychioli ar Gyngor yr Ysgol am y flwyddyn nesaf. Mae gan bob dosbarth o flwyddyn 2 i flwyddyn 6 gynrychiolydd disgyblion ar gyngor yr ysgol.

What is a School Council?
The school council is a group of children that represents the views of all our pupils. The council intention is to provide a structured platform for pupils to actively participate in the life and decision-making processes of their school. It gives our children the opportunity to have their voices heard and be part of the whole school community. At meetings to discuss various ways to improve the school internally, externally and educationally such as organising charity events, theme days or representing the school at outside events. The school Council gives pupils the opportunity to develop important skills including communication, listening, expressing opinions, problem solving, decision making and reflection.
Who are the Council Members?
At the beginning of each school year the pupils are asked to nominate and vote for who they want to represent them on the School Council for the coming year. All classes from year 2 to year 6 have a pupil representative on the school council.

Our responsibilities
•School tours for visitors.
•Be ambassadors for the school at
• important events.
•Identify what your class thinks about issues and give feedback at meetings.
•Ensure every pupil know their rights and share right of the month with the whole school during Mondays assembly.
•Improve parts of the school that are a priority.
•Ensure school is a safe and happy place for all children.
•Raise money for various charities.
•Organise events and campaigns.
•Decide on action points for improvements.
•Contribute to school assemblies.
•Create a bi-lingual video to share with parents and school governors each term.
